“For real life?”

Meet Eden and Neve—the ultimate super fans turned actual teammates.

Every single week, these two little sisters bring the biggest energy to training, cheering on the Bubbles from the sidelines and waiting for their moment. On Saturday, the opposition was short on players, so Eden and Neve were invited to step up and join in.

When asked, “Do you want to go on the court?” Neve replied, “For real life? I get to play for real?”

They laced up, stepped out together and played a whole quarter with the team! It was great to watch the older players welcome them onto the court with endless encouragement. Special shout out to Isla, Eden’s older sister, who helped Eden on her first even centre pass (see photo below). Eden and Neve certainly made the most of it, showing off their fantastic catching, turning, and releasing skills.

Of course, their debut wasn't without a bit of comedy—at one point, their enthusiasm for the ball got the absolute better of them. Whilst playing GS and GK they ran the full court to be amongst the action at the other end. Smiling, holding hands and skipping together. We hope their love of netball continues and look forward to them joining the Bubbles for real life in 2027.
