Carnival Recap

What a great day of netball at the Bruns Byron Carnival! Headlands showed up strong with two mixed squads: the Splashing Flamingos (combining our Under 14s) and the Bluebottles (bringing together Bluebottles, Bubbles and Dolphins players).

The repetition of games gave everyone a perfect opportunity to sharpen their skills. Thank you to all the families who lined the courts to support our players. We loved seeing you all there!

A special thank you to Belinda, Steve, Bec, Luke, Kerryn, and Ava for coaching and umpiring. Our teams couldn't hit the court without your time and support!

Ellie (back row, second from the right) is new to netball but has already proven herself to be a highly versatile asset to the Thunder, showing comfort at both ends of the court. She reads the play remarkably well and consistently impacts the game, whether she is driving hard on attack or shutting down opposition plays with a big intercept. Ellie had this to say about her first carnival:

“I had a really fun time and learnt a lot of new skills from my team mates and opponents. The carnival has definitely made me a better player and it was tons of fun.”
