Our First Teen Clinic a Huge Success!

Our very first Headlands’ Teen Clinic was a massive, sold-out success! We launched this initiative as part of our direct commitment to tackling the dropout rate of female teenagers in organised sport. By creating spaces like this, we want to ensure our players stay connected, active and excited about netball.

The players hit the court for a packed two-hour session, starting with an hour of high-energy skills and drills to improve their technique, followed by a match. A huge thank you to Ava and Willow for stepping up to umpire and keeping the game running seamlessly.

Evie and Madi with impressive footwork!

Big congratulations to Madi and Mila, who were named Players of the Clinic, each taking home a movie voucher for their fantastic effort and enthusiasm to learn.

But the session wasn't just about what happened on the court. Afterward, the group headed out for a team meal and a hilarious game of Imposter Art. Below is a photo of our best drawing…the koala and boots were questionable!

The players really valued the casual time together off the court, using the opportunity to laugh, relax and get to know their teammates even better.

Ruby from Splash said:

“I would definitely recommend the teen clinic to anyone who likes netball. It was really fun getting to know other girls in my club and learning new netball skills that will help improve my game.”

This initiative was made possible thanks to the in-kind support from Honey Bee Homes. Thank you for investing in our teen players and helping us keep them loving the game!
